Personal Smilies (v 1.3.0)

Chris, and especially Todge , 1.2.61 did the trick on both my forums.

Chris found the problem, I just corrected it.. It could have taken me ages to realise what was happening as it was working fine on my test forum.

Have installed 1.2.61 and all still works.

No luck for me still. We recently moved our smilies to Theme Manager from the old Smilie Management plugin- could this be why?

I have cleared keys, installed both of the newer versions listed previously (now just have 1.2.6) with a clean install after getting rid of older versions, etc. What should I try next since it is still not working? Thanks for y'all's help.

Try version 1.2.61 from the Plugin Library.

Version 1.2.6 will ONLY work if you have certain other plugins of mine installed.. Updating to 1.2.61 should fix your issues.

We have that version installed, no sweetness Todge. Any way you can have a look at our site and maybe diagnose the issue?

I was having difficulties in getting my plugin to work as well. After reading this thread, I found the link to download the 1.2.61 version. It fixed my problem.... Thanks.

Todge I can see the Smiley choice under my Admin tab, but nothing populates and I do have 5 personal smilies saved to test with.  Any chance you can log in as me and figure it out? Whatever solves the problem, thanks, as I am stymied.

I can't see the Personal Smilies plugin on your forum.. Have you un-installed or deactivated it?

No Todge Personal Smilies plugin is installed and the box checked on our Plugin list.  Now we can see the dropdown box, but nothing populated despite my saving a bunch. 


We /did/ recently move our smilies to the Themes area and loaded them before deleting the Smilie Dropdown plugin however. This was done because one of our staff members belongs to another PB site in which people can just type the code  a la :sqee: to have the smilie appear.  

I asked if that recent change was responsible for the update not working correctly, in a post earlier but had no response.

Thanks so much for your help as we try to get this resolved fast.

I can see the Personal Smilies plugin KEY on your forum, but not the plugin itself...

So, can you please try removing the plugin from your site completely, by deleting Plugin & Data, refresh the page, then re-install the latest version from either the lbrary or by downloading a fresh copy from here.

Then try again and see what you get. If it doesn't work, can you please PM me so we can look into it further without cluttering up this thread.

A member of my forum wants to substitute huge smilies in place of the ones we have and she does not want to wait for the upgrade to see what is offered. No one else agrees with her. The debate was quickly leading to an argument.

This plug in key is a wonderful solution. Thank you.
