It seems counter productive to make a new Theme..And be stuck with the Header and Footer codes from your original Theme.. I like the New Choices we can make in V5.. But I think we should be able to use different Header and Footer codes per Theme, just as we can enable plug ins per theme. Having the codes being stuck on all themes is very limited..

The headers and footers shouldn't really be used any more. They exist only to ease the conversion. In fact, ProBoards will be releasing a H&F plugin soon that will do exactly what you are requesting.

But sometimes a header n footer code..Which is posted on the Board here..Works swell. I look forward to this plug in..

In the mean time, you could either add the coding to the template or a plugin, depending on how comfortable you are with either.

You can create a plugin that just uses HTML and tell it to only show on a specific theme.
Likewise, you can just access the Layout Templates of a theme and place the codes next to the $[header] variable in your Forum Wrapper or at the top and bottom of the Home template if you're looking for the main header.
