I updated my forum a few days ago, and realized as I was attempting to test various template codes in threads that there is no Style Checker button like there was in V4. I use a lot of borrowed code for things like post templates and plot pages, and they usually tend to have various little bits that aren't quite right ( "{" instead of "[" is quite common). Having to go through and manually change everything that needs to be is a pain in the patootie. Would it be possible to bring back that button?

If you are using style tags that still use [style=], they will be incompatible with v5 coding. You will have to convert it yourself or get someone else to do it for you.

I'm not familiar with any Style Checker button in v4, nor do I understand what it is you are saying it actually does. Are you sure that wasn't a code itself on your v4 forum?
That being said, if you are pasting incorrectly formatted code into posts, that's on you. We did design BBCode 2.0 to be more web friendly, but nearly all of the old BBCode from v4 works as we'll. Incorrect brackets ( { vs [ ) wouldn't have worked in v4 any more than they do in v5. Additionally v5 will auto correct code for you if it's the old way (still has to be correct though). You can toggle from BBCode, to Visual and back to BBCode and it will redo any old BBCode into new BBCode 2.0 for you.
Sounds like you either need to adjust the code you are copying into posts, or you need to request a plugin that can do what it is you want.
Thank you.
