a good suggestion would be to make ALL ad's selectable when purchasing a ad free forum.

like the gift tab and the footer text

im having trouble finding a code's to remove these and im ad-free.
still having no luck finding them.

i think this is good for proboards interest as it saves time in hooking
out codes for users and users being hecked off The more simpler you make
ad-free process the better. This will bring down the amount of people
finding codes to remove the ads against TOS

also like myself i travel alot so i dont want a code that removes my ads and then my adfree
limit expires. Forcing me to break the TOS. Without intending to do so

at-least if you implement it well its either on or off. Saving users from breaking TOS

I'm pretty sure that the footer text needs to be shown at all times, ad-free or no, so that things like the privacy policy and report abuse function are readily accessible. A staff member can confirm if this is correct or not.

To remove the gift tab when ad-free, there are instructions here for that.

the report abuse/TOS/FTC etc... links cannot be hidden.

The TOS is still in effect even when you're ad-free. All the links at the bottom must still be present. All of those links still apply.

All ad's? Advertisements are those pesky things that pop up at the top and bottom of each forum. By all ad's, what exactly do you mean?

Things like the gift tab and other's i may not know about yet lol,
its promoting sales to proboards from your forum you have payed ad free for.

Im simply asking that they should add the on/off feature for links to proboards.com (sales or what not ,like the gift tab) there is already a on/off feature for "Related Topics & Stories" & the "Click here to remove banner ads from this forum." In the admin panel once you have purchased ad free.

Why not Add the Gift Feature to that

You can remove the gift tabs through removing some codes within the forum coding template... If i can, ill find it for you.

That's the first time you mentioned the gift tab. When you said 'make ALL ad's selectable' I didn't understand what you meant.

The gift tab isn't an ad. It's a way for your members to show appreciation for each other. This includes ProBoards Plus (personal ad-free), Profile Badges and eventually Avatar Maker Items. This tab is intended for members to interact and benefit. We made it out of the way so it wouldn't be intrusive. That being said, I believe that our CEO Patrick did say at one point that you could hide the tab. I found the quote here.

We will have a discussion next week about making the gift tab a yes/no option in the ad-free settings. If there are other things that you consider 'ads' that you think need an option please post here in this thread and we will discuss them as well.
