Does this upgrade provide the option to add an active members list? Shows a list of the members that are logged on and what they are viewing. Also does it provide the option to display a 'table listing the last ten or so post that were made' on the front page?
On a side note: it seems that this new version is slow because it can't keep up with my typing and I'm not even a fast typer. Really annoying .....

Man, before this upgrade I remember one could get an answer in less than an hour. So does nobody know the answer or is this not possible? Kind of in the dark with this new version. Is this still some absurd TOS privacy rule that one can't see what other members are viewing or can't collect info from another page? Which is really crazy because these other free host don't have that rule and both request are actually plug-ins that automatically come with site registration.

Greetings,
These boards are mostly checked by volunteer members like myself. I personally don't look at this board too often, and your OP was right around the time I was going to bed last night (and a lot of the volunteers in these boards are in time zones close to mine). With that in mind, please wait 24 hours before bumping a thread.
As for your question, the forum info center in V5 should have a "Users Online" list, as well as one for users online in the past 24 hours. In fact, in V4 you could only see if they were online, but in V5 the info center at the bottom of each board shows who is viewing that specific board. If this is not the case on your forum, can you link to it so we can see the issue?
What part of V5 is running slow for you? I have had very little issue with anything running slow, but V5 is still in beta, so not everything works perfectly yet.
EDIT: I'm also moving this to the general V5 discussion board, as it isn't plugin specific.

Hey RB thank you for replying. I forgot about the 24 hour rule. I am talking about a link that a member can click that will open up a page that displays a list of all of the active users, which page they are viewing in real time, and how long they have been on (Active Members List). It is popular on most other free forums. It is mostly used for after a member post something and they are curious if any other members are checking it out.
The other thing that I am talking about is a list of the last post on the forum (usually the last 10) displayed on the front page or typically the portal page. (Proboards does have a plug-in for a portal page for this version right? If not they need to really catch up!)
There was a big deal about some TOS privacy rules but it never made any damn sense to me because every other free host had it. I always thought it was just an exuse to cover up what they were lacking personally. As far as the typing area being slow, it is not doing that now so that is good.

ProBoards doesn't offer a separate page like that, however in the memberlist for the forum, there are options to view members online now or online today (24 hours).
You can find out who is viewing a board in that board's info center, but this is not possible for individual threads, as per your mention of privacy reasons. This function would be fully possible to do, but ProBoards feels that it is an invasion of member privacy.

"Not possible" is a very far-fetched statement, in fact it is very possible. (TOS) or Terms of Service is their own rules and they speak of them as they are rules handed down from the (IETF) The Internet Engineering Task Force.
These two features that I speak of are crucial to PB's growth! If they feel that it would be a privacy issue then in that case they could make it an option at the members discretion. As I have mentioned, both are a spot-lighted feature handed down by free forum hosts. Some even have a map that pin-points the country at which the member is from. But most importantly it shows what other members are viewing which let's members interact more.
As for the latest post on the main page, PB's know how much that is needed. Wormo made a code some years back which almost listed the last topics on the main page (Relocate Last Posts) but not quite because he had to work around "TOS Rules".
Somebody really needs to talk to Craig or whomever makes these decisions and convince him into adding these features or PB's will be behind in time! I know that I myself have wandered off to another free host for these exact reasons and I have been using PB's for nearly 12 years!
I do know for sure that without these features PB's is the Pinto of free forum hosts.

If you read my last post, not the context of the phrase "not possible":
but this is not possible for individual threads, as per your mention of privacy reasons.
The terms of service are set by ProBoards, so I will let ProBoards respond to this further.
