Default Smilie Changes

Possibly a daft question but I would like to change the default smilies to our previous ones and add an extra set...and I am not to aux fait with the keyboard abbreviations as I personally never use smilies...

When/if I change the smilies on default must I keep to the same order or when I upload/replace image does this also delete the keyboard abbreviation and add an equivalent new one as some of the smilies we do not want.

Oh dear - that is confusing...erm...just as an example....if I were to change the cry smilie to a rofl smilie and whilst replying on the forum used the keyboard abbreviation for the rofl smilie, what will I get - the cry or rofl smilie??

It gets even worse - 2nd try. When I was using beta board I put our old smilies on in place of the Proboards default set. A member used a keyboard abbreviation and got a different smilie to the one that she wanted - it was because I had changed the order of images/keyboard - well I assumed it was??

Hope someone can unravel that!!

Lets continue with your first example (replace cry with rofl).
Whatever image you upload in its place, will be the new image (but will keep the shortkey).

If I uploaded "rofl" in the upload box for "cry", then when I use :'( it would no longer show the image for , instead it would show this image.

Mhhhh that is what I thought Stinky666 ...

So - does that mean I have to keep them all (shortcuts) but can change the actual smilie to our own? The way things look at the moment is that we have half Proboards and half ours and it looks a bit daft. 

I had hoped to be able to change the shortcuts??

You can change the shortcut. Click on the little pencil next to the "shortcut" and rename the image.

Ok - so I rename the image and then upload the image connected to that name - or basically whatever I want Tressa ??

Just remember to click "enter" on you keyboard to save your entry.
