Any news when we can finally use the PMall function please??

The PM all function is up and running. Going to Messages and then clicking on the cog wheel dropdown and then selecting "Send to All" PM's all members.

I'd been watching but in the wrong place…… I thought I'd be able to 'PM all' from the members list...

I've just sent a test 'PM all' on my forum - my outbox now shows each individual PM.

Imagine doing this on a forum with hundreds or thousands of members….

I think I'll stick with 'Emailing all' instead.

I can't believe it..

PMall was a favourite with GWD - now we just have Email all that only works for those that have their email setting sorted out. Half the members do not get a notification at all..

Is there any way to sort this out perhaps Michael??

@ritab - I easily believe that this is the case, but I think that this should not occur, or we should find a way to "stack" those PM's into a single conversation. I will make a bug report so that this is fixed, or at least discussed and a better solution is found.

Rosefriend - Notifications should be working as intended at this time, are any specific members reporting their PM notification count being off?

I honestly haven't tried the PMall Michael since changing to V5 - first it didn't work, then it did but I had sent an Email all out, then there were problems with that so I used the News Feed...

The members prefer a PMall and I do know that it reaches the regulars - they don't seem to want to add Email to their settings - they say that they are on the board and PM'ing is better...mmmmmmh!!

I was just about to have a go at PM'ing all when I saw that Rita had tried and the fact that all the PM's were in the Outbox stopped me dead in my tracks...is that going to happen each time Michael??

After testing this myself, I was unable to get all the messages to appear in my outbox, this is likely an isolated bug. I am still having the developers look into it however.

Thanks Michael - would you be kind enough to tell us when it has been sorted perhaps as I really would prefer to use the PMall system again??

It would be helpful if someone else on another forum sent a PM to all to work out if this is an isolated bug. The same happens on my beta and test fora.

Rosefriend did you try sending a PM all on your test forum?

I just PM'd all ~ and yes, all of the members individual PMs are showing up in my outbox.
