What's the best sidebar plugin? I don't know how to decide which sidebar is best for me.

That's a subjective question. You should try them both out and decide for yourself. From a factual perspective: The ProBoards Sidebar plugin has known issues and hasn't been updated in a while, while the Sidebar Redux plugin has no known issues at the moment, has more features, and is actively supported in its thread. Yes, this post is somewhat biased.

I only want a sidebar that is similar to Smangii's old one and can do relatively simple things easily: Images in title bars instead of text, a chat box, and I can't rememeber the third thing on rewriting this grr! How does the peekaboo sidebar compare?

I'm going to shamelessly say that Brian's Sidebar Redux Plugin is the best sidebar plugin. Plus it has the added benefit of being made by Brian, who is on Support every day and will help you alter or alter the plugin for you.

How does the peekaboo sidebar compare? The peekaboo sidebar is a single container. You'd have to format everything inside it yourself.

Ps Can I delete the download from my computer once I upload it? Is there even a way I can upload it from another site without downloading it to my computer? Like a photobucket for plugins (A cloud?) As you can see I'm not up to date with technology.

We're looking into the possibility of automatically installing plugins on forums without having to download them.
