Profile Information display

In V4 forum member locations would show up in the profile info next to each post, but it doesn't any more.  I checked my own profile and it still has my location stored there, just doesn't display automatically by posts any more.  Is there a way to get this back?

By default, ProBoards removed some of the clutter from the mini-profile in V5, however you can add any of these back in using template modifications.

Could you tell me how to do this please? Or point me in the right direction? Is it a case of pasting some script into the mini profile template area?

This would be a code to add, however i'm not a coder at all.. However, Brian has answered this many times, and i'm pretty sure he (or another member) can whip something up for ya.

You can have a look in the Template Modification board. Likely this has already been requested, and you can post there for further template assistance if needed.

Which information do you want back in the mini-profile area?

Location (global/national location of member) please.

In your admin area, go to Structure > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile.

Find this section of the code:

    {if $[user.is_member]}
        <div class="info">
            Posts: $[user.posts]{if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span>{/if}
            {foreach $[user.mini_custom_field]}
                <br /><span class="$[user.mini_custom_field.content_class]">$[user.mini_custom_field.name]: $[user.mini_custom_field.value]</span>
            {/foreach}
            {if $[user.is_online]}<br /><span class="italic">Member is Online</span>{/if}
        </div><br />
    {/if}

And add the line in red to it.

    {if $[user.is_member]}

            {foreach $[user.mini_custom_field]}

This will add the location they specify in their profile settings into their mini-profile.
