Sorry if I missed this one somewhere. Is it possible to not have to choose between guest or the members account when members come back to the forum. Like the stay logged in option from before. Members of my forum are complaining that they have to choose when they come back instead of just being logged into their account.
Thanks for any help. C

I think there are several. The complaint is they have to click if they want to log in as there user name or a guest when they open the forum. I use firefox and it happens to me also.

Having the Remember Me option ticked should keep you logged in on whichever account you chose on that screen.
Are you being kicked out or are you just getting that screen after logging out and logging back in?

We had the same problem, loganmaxI think it was caused by two issues, one I know for a fact, the other I'm still trying to troubleshoot. First, we have a custom domain. People who used a bookmark to visit, were logged out every single time too. Once they updated their bookmark, they stayed logged in. Second though, right now I'm having the same issue on my desktop PC. I stay logged in on all other computers (laptop, phone, etc), all use the Chrome browser. However every 2, 3 days I am welcomed as a guest on my Windows 8 machine, all I need to do is click Log in and then my name, but it is a bit annoying. I'm going to delete cookies, see if that clears it up... but is is strange. It only happens on my Parrot forum, here I always stay logged in. Could it be that Proboards has difficulties when people access the forum from two different machines? But then why does it affect only one forum?

It's strange that it would only be the one, although it would be understandable if it has to do with the domain name.

Hi Brian "that forum" being the one in my signature... africangreyparrot.info Yes it only happens there, so far I stay logged into all other forums I frequent. I've never been kicked out of this Support one (which just proved you don't know me at all hehehehe )

I've never been kicked out of this Support one (which just proved you don't know me at all hehehehe ) I noticed you have two different domain names listed in the domain linking section of your admin area. Is it possible there's a link somewhere on the forum that goes to forum.africangreyparrot.info as opposed to just africangreyparrot.info that you click on a regular basis?

Oh... actually no I don't use the forum.etc address... I bought it and then decided to use the naked domain instead. I have never even given that address to anybody really. It can even be deleted if that complicates matters, it's not used and won't be renewed. And, loganmax apologies for sort of hijacking your thread

And, loganmax apologies for sort of hijacking your thread It shouldn't interfere unless you have a link somewhere, although even using that URL after being logged in on the regular one it still seemed to retain my login. Just for good measure though, have you tried manually logging out of the forum and logging back in? Can you tell me if you still experience the same issues after that?

I'll let you know, Brian. It is an intermittent problem, so it may be a few days till you get feedback on it
