This plugin adds a menu at the top of the forum that will slide down when you hover over it. Because there isn't any way to access the amount of messages without using the template the plugin does require a slight template modification. Just go to the Layout Templates and then select the Forum Wrapper. Then insert this right before the <"/head> tag. <script> user_messages = $[current_user.messages.inbox]; user_new_messages = $[current_user.messages.new]; </script>
Then just install the plugin and enjoy. IMPORTANT: Since it was a little too hard to make it so that you can edit the plugin using the interface I made the plugin fully editable so you can just edit the CSS and "content" of the plugin if you want too. Glide Menu V2.pbp (1.77 KB)

For those of you who are using this I found a bug. I hadn't given the Glide Bar a z-index so it was showing up behind the little floating bar on the thread viewing page with the search bar in it. You can either re-download the plugin or put "z-index: 2000;" in the css part of the code.

Is there a way you could make the messages clickable to access the messages as well? Would it be possible to add a time clock to this based on the forum's time zone?
Thanks for the nifty code, also you may want to explain how to change the background color I figured it out but more inexperienced might not be able to without a little explanation. I noticed there was no way to change the text color perhaps you should add that in as well?
Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions. xD V5 is very interesting.
This works fine for me in Chrome, but in IE and Firefox it shows a red line instead with UNDEFINED written in it. Help with this? In the meantime I will be disabling it from my forum.

This is so handy, thanks again for this great plug-in.
As a reward you can pat the cute Pichu for five minutes. Lol

Texas, this could be really dumb of me to ask, but when adding to the content areas, how do i do this? Is it just a case of putting in the names of the buttons in the menu like Home Help Search etc Or is it needed to be in a certain format like Home|http://link to home here Help|http://link to help I will be using this on my forum, but it won't be visible until i enable it delusional.freeforums.net on the theme, i'm adding it too.
