1) The URL to the page you are on when the bug occurred. solariaweyr.proboards.com/2) What happened, in detail? Nothing happens when you press quick reply - it's intermittent but experienced by a number of members. 3) What do you think should have happened instead? Quick Reply should always work 4) Can you reproduce this on every pageview? Nope, at least four members have this problem intermittently 5) What browser, version, and operating system are you using? Couple on Firefox, one on Safari 6) Please attach a screen shot (JPG or PNG -- not GIF or BMP) if it is relevant

(Browser, OS?)

Noptthat we can find. As I said in my first post there's at least two Firefox users (one of which is a tablet - not sure what operating system - and the others a windows PC) and one Safari user (who has a mac)
EDIT: The firefox tablet user is Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 7 starter 32-bit and she gets the bug on both.
EDIT2: netbook not tablet if that makes a difference.

Do any of the users get javascript errors on the page when the post quick reply button does not work? I'm gonna be really transparent with you Maiden because you are one of my prolific reporters of bugs. (Thanks for that!) I need more to go on. I'm unable to reproduce this in any browser on your forum myself, and if I submit a bug report with just "it happens intermittently" I'll get it back with a dev note that just reads "Unable to Reproduce" and we won't get anywhere. I need a definable way to reproduce the problem repeatedly. If I cant reproduce it to show the developers then nothing will change. Get your users to write down the exact steps they took when the button didn't work as intended to see if there is something in common that they've all done, this may helps us narrow it down. Maybe they're all using an ad-blocker that messes with the buttons javascript?

No one has mentioned errors and if they have the problem in one reply they don't necessarily have it in the next.
I'll ask them about add ons that might affect JavaScript and get them to write down exactly what they do when they get the fail.
When quick reply doesn't work, they can press reply and it copies their reply and they can post from there so the reply button works ^^
Sent from phone, please forgive typos!

So far there seems to be no common thing beyond time of day :s
If one person has a problem then it's likely someone else has the problem. Usually around this time.

Sorry nobody responded to this earlier! What time of day does this seem to be occurring during? I doubt that the time of day could be the cause, but every avenue should be explored.

About the time I posted that, so evening UK time and then into the night (when our American members are on during the day time) and it's not every day; but as I said if one person is having a problem there's a high probability someone else it.
I don't think I've ever had a problem GMT morning - but then I'm not one of the people more prone to it.

We have it cross platform and cross browser. We do have that plugin amongst others. I can disable it and see if people still get the problem next time people seem to be going through a spate of issues. Maybe you could try as well - TuGs

I actually had this problem just happen to me on my advertisement in the support board. I am using The latest Google Chrome on Windows 7 32bit professional. The weird thing is quick reply worked it just sent me to the standard reply area when I pressed "post quick reply" this happened at 10:56:54 GMT -0400. When this happened it also put a new stamp for my in the participated button. Hope this gives you a little information and is same or related to Maiden's problem. Edit: Yes this has repeated on other replies i have made today just a few seconds before this edit

We sometimes get that variation as well. At the same time as Quick Reply not working at all.

Maiden - Let me know how disabling that plugin goes for you, and if it fixes the issue or not!
