Sometimes Quick Reply doesn't work

I talked to one of the devs about this and we decided that we were going to go ahead and make a bug report. I'm sure some of this is caused by a rogue plugin, but not all of this could/or is the fault of a plugin.

Hi Maiden,

I'm working on this issue right now. I have a couple guesses as to what could be causing it.

First, I want to confirm that this is still happening. No point on working on it if the problem has already been fixed!

Second, are the users who are experiencing this posting as guests? If they are, our Captcha code may be interfering with the button. If they're logged in, then that option is out.

Still with me? Okay. Now if the issue is still happening to logged-in users, I want you to ask them to follow these steps the next time they encounter the issue:
1. Click inside the box where their message is (to make sure it has focus), then hit Alt+C. (It's the Quick Reply hotkey.)
2. Still inside the message box, hit tab once and then hold space. Hold it just long enough to see if the 'Post Quick Reply' button looks like it's being pushed down. Then let go.

If either step 1 or 2 works, then we're closing in on the issue.
If step 2 fails, but the button still visually looks like it's being clicked, then it still helps me diagnose the problem.
If the button doesn't even appear to be clicked, then we might have a seriously misbehaving plugin on our hands.

It hasn't been happening recently, so it might have magically fixed...

They were posting as logged in members. We have guest posting disabled on most of the forum.

I'll add those instructions to where I'm asking people to report it, so if anyone does have it (we're about to have a big event this weekend so if it's going to happen I guess that's most likely as there'll be tonnes of activity) they can try those suggestions.
