If I don't convert to v5 by 12 2013?

I have to admit I've done nothing about further upgrades with my website:  coldcase2.proboards.com/

What happens if I don't do this conversion by said date?  I've lost all touch with technical stuff and am not good with it to begin with.

Your forum will be converted after that date, PB can't go on forever supporting old software.
But, we have a good collection of helpful members and staff that will guide you through any problems you may have.
I would suggest you get a betazone forum to test it out, and ask questions here if you get stuck

Your forum looks like a simple conversion anyway, visually it's just a custom menu and a table in the header at first glance

ProBoards hasn't stated what will happen then, however they are not going to continue supporting V4 much longer.

I highly recommend that you convert some time in 2013. We are here to help you make the switch, and if you haven't yet, you should check out the betazone program, which will allow you to build a test copy of your forum in V5 first, so you have practice before making the switch.

okay.  I will start to copy and read some of this stuff.  my site isn't posted on currently although we can get up over 500 visits pe day.  but i wish to keep the place in perpetuity so guess i will have to take a look.  i see i can test on a beta area for my site.   oh man.  okay.     Thank you.

If you make a copy of your board in betazone, remember that the betazone is only a copy, and will not affect your main board, so doesn't matter if you mess things up.
also, as it is a test copy, any posts etc made will not be saved once betazone is finished
