Looking for a few things

I am between loving the new version and hating it. I love all the new features just hate that none of the old codes will work on it now so I am searching for several things but not sure if they are plug ins or codes. I upgraded my old site almost regretting it before fully looking into it so I made a new one the other day which I do plan on upgrading once I figure most of it out then transfer the old to the new.

Now I am looking for several but will only lest a few for right now, if that's ok if not i'm sorry.

1. Looking for something that will get rid of the padding around the category image on the v5.

2. On the v4 I have the boarder around the board and side tables how can I get that on v5 with the dark grey filling as well.

3. I noticed that blockqoute is not longer available. Is there something to use to make the descriptions anything like the v4? 

4. Just noticed This there is no background behind the posts and the prev & next line is about the main banner. I noticed it looked funny before but it was kind of like double posting it showed up twice one with a background and the other above that happened after trying to remover last edited.

5. How can I make the on/off icons not take so much space? 

Sorry if this it too many to ask right now thought might as well get them out before they build up more and more.

i can help with some of these just give me a chance to get some resources together for you...

before doing any of this remove all your header and footer codes first. start from the bottom up.
you need to replace most things with plugins and template mods from here on.... later you can test if a header and footer code works one by one...
if they dont request it as plugin or template mod. this is the new v5! once you get used to this it is so much better!

Got Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles and CSS > Style Sheet tab

find this: (it was line 548 for me) it will be around that number for you too change red to 0

i will help once you have done these steps as i dont know what your headers and footers are doing so i don't know exactly how to go about modifying it for the rest of your questions.

2) Look in the Plugin Database board, for the Redux Sidetables, by Brian, and have a look in Template Modifications for Border Around Forum.

3) You can add Blockquote and any other custom bbcode image, by using the plugin called UBBC in Quick Reply. It's not just for the quick reply so don't worry, just test it, you'll see.

5) Go to Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles and CSS > Style Sheet
Scroll down to roughly line 853 - 856.
You should see similar to this:

For the first part, ".boards .main", change width to be higher than what you currently have it (note: the above is MY custom widths, yours will be different).
