Data loss?

Just a quick question. Before we upgraded to V5 my board had a archive of applications for RPG characters. Now after we upgraded a few of them are gone. Im not sure what happened since they were never deleted and were there before the upgrade. They just simply vanished. If there a way to retrieve the few lost threads?

Hi, could you link me to the board where this occurred? There is a known issue (in the past at least) where malformed BBCode tags caused the converter to read some things as "garbage" text and discard it. This most likely caused the issue that you're experiencing. We attempted to code in exceptions for all the possible malformed tags, but it is also possible that we missed some. Either way the content is relatively easy to restore.

We just reopened and a lot of our old apps were placed in an archive but some I just seen just before we upgraded were still there. Including some of my own.

What exact board(s) have missing content?

Just what is all missing I do not know. But so far I have reports of at least 7 or 8 missing threads.

Not only did we find the few missing threads...we got back 20 pages of missing threads we didn't even know went missing! thanks a ton! You saved my returning members lots of work!
