Recent Threads/Posts Widget

I love the whole idea of custom pages and widgets!

I've created a custom page on my forum which makes use of the "Recent Threads/Posts" widget - it's aimed at the majority of users of my forum who pop in to see what the latest news is.

I've got it configured to display a list of recent threads from a couple of specific boards.

It would be great there was an extra configuration option for the widget which allowed you to choose whether to display the name of the poster or the date of the post. At the moment it displays the name of the poster.

I know you don't want these widgets to be too intensive on the back-end infrastructure, but I don't think a change like this would increase the load.

I can make a note in our ideas list about this. We have lots of ideas for making more widgets and improving the current ones.

In the future we will review it. If we like the idea, then we will develop it further at that time. That means it could be a while before it's added. Keep an eye out for it in one of our updates after launch. Maybe your idea will show up!
