Hi, I am suddenly having problems with editing posts. The words are joining together when posted and when I try to edit posts it will change some words and not others, it refuses to split the words up. The link to forum is in signature, but I have not added or changed anything for weeks.......

Hi @jenant, Can you link to an example post where this is occurring please? Actually, just found the post. It would appear this is caused by something in your censored words list. Can you visit your censored words list in the admin panel, and once there, remove the censored entry that you have for i to I. Save the changes and see if that takes care of it

It is that thread, I have removed the censored i to I, but it still refuses to edit. Yet it was fine this morning with no linking.....it's tempremental, works sometimes, it is also putting code in when I checked on the ubbc. I removed it from the joined word and the edit was fine, so don't know what else to say really

The post I found is looking fine now? Just to ensure I'm seeing the right post that you're speaking about, the one I was viewing was the one here. If that's not the one you're looking at, can you provide the link please?

I have just edited it again about the 4th time, and after I looked on the ubbc and took some code out from behind the linked words it worked fine, Thanks for your input Ricky!!

It's not a problem, glad to see it's been resolved for you now. If for some reason you happen to experience the issue again though, feel free to let us know

I am back with the same problem, this time it keeps putting code at the back of words and has trouble correcting words I don't understand it as I have not changed anything or added anything. It keeps putting nsbp in behind words too.

Are you by any chance hitting space multiple times?
That's how it adds the nbsp for me.
Edit: Ok so it doesn't show the nbsp in the post, but it does if you do multiple spaces in visual, and then go to bbcode.
Are you by any chance hitting space multiple times?

Yes that is happening, but when the code is removed the words join together again. Only happens when members post on visual. Is there anyway I can direct members to post on ubbc

Yes that is happening, but when the code is removed the words join together again. Only happens when members post on visual. Is there anyway I can direct members to post on ubbc The only way is for them to do it manually, but one of two ways: 1) When they are in the posting page, click the BBCode tab. 2) Or so they don't have to keep doing that, set their default as BBCode in their profile: Edit Profile > Settings > Scroll down to where it says Posting DefaultSets what editor you default to when creating posts.
