it would be a nice feature to have a send new password link to members regardless of knowing email or not and only once they have clicked the link in email and changed there password there password changes at that point this would be global account acceptable don't you think?

Greetings,
For security reasons, passwords aren't emailed. Instead, if a member uses the "forgot password" link, they are allowed to create a new password.

If a member forgets their email they can click the 'Forgot Password' link on the login page themselves and follow the on screen directions. So a feature already exists to recover passwords using email.

i know about that i was just enquiring on a admin control for it the admin panel as just an idea! at least we can provide assistance if asked... from a click of a button I understood what you meant, but it just isn't necessary. Admins from v4 still feel that they have to be super helpful when dealing with registration and logging in. v4 and earlier had it's issues with these things. So we understand the urge to help. But v5 is different. Because of the added security there is no longer an issue with these things. And we created ways for members to help themselves (just like the rest of the internet).
