"New Posts" nav bar button or word. HELP!

hi guys,

first of all let me appologise if this has been covered here before, and or i have posted this in the wrong place. I'm am an old school board user, but not creator. i have created my own V5 board for my charity costuming group. on my nav bar (word kind not graphic icon) i have no "new posts" and would like to know how to add one. i have obviously looked through the admin panels and the nav section, but obviously if i create a new one, how to i link that to what are essentially the new posts?

sorry if i am being rather inelegant with my help request, but thank you in advance for any help

You can add a recent posts button to your nav menu
Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation, Add Custom and put /posts/recent as the url

Thank you dno, worked lovely. is there a way of changing how it displays the new posts? like maybe just a list?

If you prefer a list, try recent threads instead, since it uses a list. Same instructions except /threads/recent
