censored words

Hello..
I upgraded my forum yesterday, and ever since the censored words haven't been censored.
I use them for extra smilies, and also for the obviously reason of stopping swearing.

I wrote

Just posting this so I can show the support board the problem.
:lol: :hyper: :huh:

The :lol: etc should now be smilies, but as you will see here:

They are not, and it isn't exactly what I typed! The swears also don't censor, but say I put 3 in a row, like this:
Swear swear swear

They come out as
swearswearswear


All the words and images are in my censored list, so I don't really know what's happening.
Is it something I'm doing wrong? Or is it a bug?

Oh, I'm using chrome and have tried the incognito tab (as suggested when someone else had this issue). And another member uses safari and the censored words still aren't working for either of us. [/font][/div]

Hi Samantha,

This is a confirmed issue that seems to be linked to the "Exact Word" setting for the censored words. Our developers will be looking into this issue to provide a fix

I'm a mod on Inforoo.com. Our word filter ceased to work this week. All curse words run together and are not censored. Is this a known problem as well?

Correct. It's linked in with the "Exact Word" bug and will be corrected. If you uncheck the exact word box, those words should censor fine in the meantime

Only issue with the "Exact Word" being unchecked is that other words that aren't meant to be censored could be. For example, the word "Pass" could censor if you have the last three letters in as a censored word. Thankfully this issue is only temporary at least. We'll update this topic to let you know when it's been fixed
