Where can I find the code or Plugin for the Spell Check?

Greetings,

Most browsers now have builtin-spellcheck, hence why it is no longer part of the forum. You are using Chrome, so you should have a spell checker built in.

Re there is a code or plugin for this. I have seen it at other Proboards V5 Sites.

Hi,

You could try this - It will add links to free image host -
Plus a link to a Grammar Checker/spell checker which is the middle link
The links will open up a new tab page on your browser when clicked on

If you have v5

Go admin - Themes - Layout Templates - Posting page - Add the code below at Line 13

Steve that works but this would be a button at the bottom of the Reply window for SpellCheck.

From a post above you noted that you have seen this on another v5 forum. Can you provide a link to the forum in question? We would be able to take a look to see what method they used to add that in

It looks like someone wrote a system to link to the old PB V4 spell checker. I'm honestly surprised that was made to work, but I don't know if ProBoards plans on support that code after V4 is retired. I will refrain from posting the code here until CheatAreZee or another admin can give you more info on that.

I spoke with our system admins and they noted that the code is fine. We will be keeping the spellcheck system online until the end of the year for the forums that have opted out of v5 until the end of the year, so it should work for at least that stretch of time.

The code is pretty lengthy, so I opted to PM it to you @christine1966, just so it's not stretching the thread out

The spellchecker uses backend resources from PB, so if the system is discontinued in December, the code will stop working.

Jrryan You have to make sure you add all of the code that Ricky sent in your global Footers. I just added it and it is working perfectly for me.

I see the code in the global footer of your v4 forum, but since the spell check system is already part of the v4 forum software it's not needed there. Just wanted to verify, are you trying to place it on a v5 forum? If so, can you provide a link to that forum please?
