Surely there is an easier way to set the default font for a theme than going through each and every area? I understand the now available creativity for so many areas, but it seems to me, most people are going to want just one main font. Then if they really want to, they can go to an area and change it for that area.
Am I missing something?

Hi, JJ. In Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS, click on Text Styles > Default Forum Text. This will change the default the page uses in most places.

I did that already, Brian. But there were still a whole lot of places I had to go to change the font. I think it would make more sense to make EVERY font the same and let the members change what they want to in individual areas.
P.S. Does the font selection stay when you export a theme?

The CSS of the default PB layout doesn't permit that. There are several variables and font declarations that need to be defined on their own for certain aspects of the page to work how they do. Some places use certain line heights that will appear oddly if you choose to resize their inner fonts.
What you're asking for is much better achieved by your respective browser's text zoom function, which will resize the text of the forum without resizing the rest of its content.

Ahh, now that makes sense, Brian, thank you for the explanation. I knew it wasn't arbitrary, but didn't know the reason for the decision to make it the way it is. In my case, I wanted to use a certain font, not the font my browser uses as the default. It's a safe font for Microsoft and Mac, Trebruchet. I was going blind putting it everywhere. Ok, that's a slight exaggeration. lol But it sure was irksome.
Thank you for clearing it up.
