Custom pages: add a summary option to cut off long posts

Brian got us a nice JS workaround to cut long posts short and add a 'read more...' button to it.

It would be great to have an option to display only a summary of a posts when adding 'Display post' and 'Recent Threads/Posts' into a custom page. Including a field to choose the number of characters after which the post content would be cut off and replaced by a 'read more...' link.

I can make a note in our ideas list about this.

In the future we will review it. If we like the idea, then we will develop it further at that time. That means it could be a while before it's added. Keep an eye out for it in one of our updates after launch. Maybe your idea will show up!
