I for one find the Version 5 boards/sub-boards/sub-sub-boards confusing.
Can you re-do them and sort them out to be something like so?


Codes and Plugins
- Databases
-- Plugins
-- Template Modifications
-- Headers and Footers
- Requests
- Discussions

(you guys aren't stupid, you can figure out the above, it's simple)

Requests - are in one sub-board. There are no sub-sub boards for them, for individual, specific types of codes. Why? No one but coders know what their request is. I for one hardly ever know if something can be achieved through Temp Mods, Plugins or H&F. I'm sure the majority are the same. Keep it simple.

Discussions - This could be put into 3 sub-sub-boards, but I feel that is not needed. Either way though, it'd work fine.


If not use the above or similar, would you give it some proper thought and try sort it how you guys want to?

We're really sorry about this, but due to an angry bear server issues we could not load this forum. Our technicians are aware of this problem and hope to have the Err Bear under control this situation sorted shortly!

Called get_forum_dbh when the dbh for id 1 is not connected1 at /usr/local/proboards/lib/ProBoards/Include.pm line 1019.

And I notice that on the err bear page, there is no link(s) to alternate pages that we can check on for information if we can't get onto PBSupport. Can you add links to your blog, and facebook and anywhere else we could check for info/updates?

What's confusing?

You go to Plugins and Codes

You pick one of the 5 categories based on where you want to go. Each is unique and clearly labeled.

You have 325 posts in Plugins and Codes. It seems like you've been just fine getting around.

Also, no offense, but in less than 4 weeks we launch v5 and the beta will be over. It's not really a high priority to restructure how the beta boards are set up right now when they wont even be around. A year ago may have been a good time to bring this up.

I'm really saying all this lightheartedly and I mean no offense. But we're busy right now and this isn't really an issue.

Just seems all scattered. Sure easy enough to find them all, but still, that doesn't mean they aren't a mess.
Will they be like this when version 5 is released or will they be restructured then?

It's easy and fast enough to move boards, create new ones if need be etc. So I don't see why you can't take 10 mins to do it
Requests especially, I think that they should be one board/sub-board rather than multiple, for the reason I gave in my initial post.

There will be restructuring once v5 launches. The biggest thing will be the Libraries themselves will be launched.

But there's other big organization plans in the works. We want to give the best support anywhere online.
