I've been trying to work on working on the beta version of our site. not sure if my patience is just really low but not sure how I feel yet. though I do generally like proboards V5 better but I hate building the skins. & trying to figure out the coding in general. I'm terrible with coding.

I'm not sure if anyone else has said this I'm just looking over it again tonight & feeling overwhelmed trying to do the coding....

The coding, or rather the CSS and Template Mods are "easy enough". I am like you, or was. I have no idea or clue about any sort of coding (I was limited to html <font> tags etc). Now from playing with V5, I can do lots more and feel comfortable in doing so. It has taken me a few months to get to where I am, and a lot of people have helped me.

Just don't forget, if you don't understand something, ask for help on here PBS, people really don't mind helping, myself included.

well our main admin has a skin already done so when we went to beta most everything transferred. I'm figuring out most things. she sort of stopped being able to do anything so now I'm rushing to try to get at least something presentable before the switch on April 29th. hence the overwhelmed feeling

You don't have to switch over on April 29th. You can opt out until December of this year.
As the main admin, go to your admin panel, click on the link to upgrade, and then at the bottom it says opt out. Click that.

but I'd still lose the beta site on April 29th, correct?

I think so, I'm not too sure, but neither are ProBoards I don't think.
I do believe they will give us some sort of warning to let us know that beta forums will be taken offline on X date, so we will have time to finish up and save our themes etc.

Beta will be there for quite some time, before the opt out was added, i think they said a couple of moths after release, so i'm guessing this has been extended now.

Just wanting to confirm that the BetaZone period will be sticking around after April 29th. So if you're not absolutely confident that you'll be ready for the launch, you can opt-out of the upgrade until you're more comfortable. At any point before the end of the year when you are ready, you can upgrade your forum from the admin panel as you would even be able to do so today
