ok, so i am having trouble with the width of my forum. i have the full width set to 1000, which is what i want, but then there is a gap between the end of the boards/threads and the end of the banner. any time i try to change the width, the whole board size gets smaller, including the sidebar, and that is not what i want. if i look here on the support page, the width of the boards is the full length of the banner width. but the board i am trying to work on is not allowing me to do this.

if needed, the plugins i have installed currently are: proboards sidebar, highlight code, collapsible categories and quick reply bbcode buttons
i'd give you the link to the forum, but i have the board in maintenance mode while i work on it.
so the part where the black arrow is located is what i want to change, but cannot figure out how. the blue arrow is what i want to do
i am aware that parts of the image is distorted (in the sidebar and such). i did that myself.

If you don't plan to have a right sidebar, I believe if you will disable the right sidebar in the plugin settings, this will take care of the open space.

You're welcome. I did the same thing when I tried that sidebar, so don't feel stupid, just takes a while to catch on to all the changes. Glad I was able to help.

Hey, just posting in here because we always try to recommend Brian's Sidebar Redux over the original sidebar plugin, as it behaves a little more like it should. Give it a try, if you're interested!
