Board Permissions

I would like to see something along the lines of a default board permissions setting. I know that boards are rarely created but when first creating the forum it will help so you won't have to go through every permissions tab. This would make creating a forum a little easier

This won't be implemented for many reasons. Here are just a few.

Reason number one is what you already mentioned. You don't do it that often.
Which leads to reason number two. Because you don't do it very often you should be going step by step through every setting to ensure that it is correct and how you want it. It's important that permissions and settings be set correctly every time.
We already offer a copy and paste option to save you time. This technically gives you tons of options to choose from when creating a new board instead of a single template like you're suggesting.
A single default template isn't likely to be correct most of the time. In fact it's very likely you'd have to go through every setting anyway just to verify it. Not going to save you much.
And finally this would require and entire section the size of all the board permissions and settings dedicated just to being the defaults for everything. That takes up space on your forum and adds clutter to the admin area (of which we already have comments that there's too much going on).
We then would have to store all that data. That takes up room on our servers.
Then we would have to load that data. That adds load to our servers.

Basically it's a lot of stuff for not a lot of return, we already give you a way to do this using copy functionality and like you said it just isn't done very often at all. Sorry.
