i have like 60 plus themes, because all my characters have their own themes, it helps me to remember who I have switched to if I need to leave the computer for any reason. They have their images as the new/old posts you see. Would I have to put that into each theme layout template though? It's very tiresome to have to make changes to every single theme. LOL I would think only in the theme that guests see. That's what I did because I figure its the one the bots will see.. In our case, we are a small gaming board.. People in our community know how to find us.. We don't need rankings. Plus we're cheap lol..We like to keep the ad free at $8.00 a month.. Oh, that's cool then. I can put it to my default theme which is the one that guests see. I just hope I can figure out where it is to go, as I'm not very code savvy. Thanks for the tip and info, much appreciated. I just use the site to write stories for one or two friends to read. So it's not what you call a big site and I'm not looking to have members join or anything, so like you I'm not interested in rankings and the like.  |

Mands you might find this thread interesting? Ahh I remember that.. I am using a different script now.. It seems to have cut my page views by about 50%. Put this in your Global Header at the very top and also in Themes/ Layout Templates/ Forum wrapper between the <head> tags which are at the top. <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow, noarchive, nosnippet, noodp">And who knows.. It might just be that the googlebots have just slowed down indexing me..giving me a placebo affect.. It took about 2 months for a difference.. I see there is already a line that mentions meta between the head tags - do I replace that? Or does the above just get added as well as what's already there? I just don't want to do anything wrong is all, thanks. |
