AddOnChat doesn't work

In the Testbed for Proboards v5, I encountered the following:

1.  exascape.freemessageboards.com/board/7/chat-room
2.  An error message instead of opening the Chat Room
3.  The Chat Room works fine in v4, so presumably it should in v5, as well
4.  N/A
5.  The same thing happens in IE 8 or Firefox 20

I moved your other topic to the main support board here since this isn't a bug with v5. If you're having troubles adding the addonchat box to your forum, check back in that thread and Greg should be able to assist you further there

Otherwise the permission error you recieve is due to have you have the chat room board setup on your forum. If you want everyone to be able to access that board, visit your admin panel and then navigate to Structure > Categories & Boards. On the next page, double click on the Chat Room board to bring up the board settings. From there in the pop-up window that comes up, click the "Permissions" tab and set the option for "Who can access the board..." to "Everyone". Save the changes and that should make the error disappear

Uh, not really, Ricky - If you'll read my initial sentence, I mentioned that this was a problem with v5. It was and is my understanding that my v4 forum was fully converted to v5 for the freemessageboards.com testbed.

Additionally, in no. 1, I noted the URL pointing to my board on the testbed at freemessageboards.com

Further, I said in no. 3, that Addonchat works just fine in v4. The error occurs only in v5, under IE 8 or Firefox 20, in Windows XP or Windows 7. To say that this isn't a bug with v5, when this worked quite well with v4 leaves me scratching my head.

If, however, you mean that I should try adding addonchat to v5 on the testbed, then that wasn't really clear to me. As to having everyone able to access that board, I wasn't going to enable that until I actually began using v5 in a 'live' mode rather than in a testbed.
