Ban from the shoutbox?

How does one ban a disruptive member from the shoutbox?

At the moment you can't unless you ban the member from your board and you have guests can shout turned off.

I'm hoping to see more features and admin controls added to the shoutbox as it is very primitive compared to the control and features I had with iShoutbox that I used in V4..

That really needs to become a feature. I don't want to ban the member unless I have to and I really don't want to go back to cbox.

Hi @greedsins,

You could disable their forum account for a set time period in their profile. This is done by visiting the members profile, and then click the "Edit Profile" button on their profile page. Next, click the "Staff Options" button and you'll see the "Account Disabled" button. When this is selected to "Yes", more options will appear to allow you to set the date and time for when the account will be re-enabled. You could use this to just disable their account for 30 minutes or an hour without implementing a full ban on the forum.
