Hello:
How do you host images? I am very new to Proboards with regarding administration rights, and hope that someone will be able to help me. I understand that we will be able to host images directly on Proboards in the version 5. I have done searches for this, but to no avail. This sounds like it would be fantastic feature and a step saver, rather than uploading to a third party, and then from there into your site.
Thank you! Librarian7

I have done searches for this, but to no avail. This sounds like it would be fantastic feature and a step saver, rather than uploading to a third party, and then from there into your site. Thank you! Librarian7 You can do it 1 of 2 ways. 1) Through an attachment. Make sure attachments are enabled, and then in a post, look at the top right and you will see a button for "Add Attachment". You only get 200mb (I think, or close to that) of attachments. If you need more space, you have to purchase. This can be done by going to Admin > Upgrades > File Storage. 2) This is staff with the powers only, so not everyone can do this. Go to Admin > Themes > Theme Manager > Hover over your theme, and click "Images". Scroll down to the very bottom and you will see a section called Custom Theme Images. You can upload images there. As with attachments, there is a limit per theme. This is 50mb limit. There after, you have to buy more space.

Thank you Stinky666.
I have tried the first way with attachments in a new post unsuccessfully. the box comes up, I press the add files button but nothing happens. I made sure that the attachments were enabled. ETA: OK, I see that it has to be done with a double click. I found that on another thread. Thanks so much for your help!
I have tried the second way and managed to get that to work. I did upload two images to test and it took me a bit to figure out where they were and how to put them into a post.
With the space limits, does that apply to each member, or to the whole site? Thanks! Librarian7

Hi, librarian7. The space limit applies to the site as a whole.

Just to note, the attachment space is for the entire forum, I think. Where as you get 50mb per theme. So if you run out of hosting space, just create a new theme (disable it for people to use) and then you can upload stuff to that. Though, theme hosting is typically used for images you will use for that theme, such as banners or any other custom images.
