Hi
I upgraded several of my forums over the weekend and the first thing I and my members noticed was that the single most often used feature was gone.
What replaced the seriously useful "New Topics" button ?
If I click on "Participated" I only get existing threads I have started or posted in. It does not show brand new threads started by someone else.
If you have a forum with many categories and boards the easiest way to keep track of threads was via the "New Topics" button.
Am I missing an obvious instruction to set something up ?
Please - simple answers as I am not someone who understands coding etc.
Any help appreciated.

Nothing "replaced" it, and you can easily add it back in.
Just go to Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation. Then add a link to the URL "/threads/recent" in.

Yes, give the custom button a name, and use /threads/recent as the url.

are you saying to just type the words "/threads/recent"
in the URL space ?
and that will somehow know what to link to ?

Yes. That is what is called a relative URL. The user's browser is smart enough to know that "/threads/recent" actually means "yourforum.proboards.com/threads/recent". You could use either the relative or the absolute URL (the latter one), but if you were to buy "yourforumname.com" and link it to your forum, the absolute link would still try to go to "yourforum.proboards.com/threads/recent", while the relative one would automatically become "yourforumname.com/threads/recent".

Yes, put that in the URL box. Then give it a name, and you can reorganize the menu items by clicking and dragging the arrow on the right side.

Thanks so much !!! Much clearer now ! Will go and do that now on each forum. Thanks for your time !!

Hi, I to was interested in this topic but just putting the above info in didn't work. But, what did work was I clicked on recent posts at the bottom of the forum, copied the url properly and used that in the navigation and named it accordingly. I guess you could use it for recent threads, too

That didn ,t work but copying the thread or recent post URL did work, but stretched my gradient on nav so i ended up taking it out as it looked odd on the tablet.
