This is quite bizarre indeed. In the attachment, I have done a search for "scrolling" because I knew someone asked about scrolling text speeds before, and I was going to help/link someone. So, I clicked on that topic (red), which has 3 pages and 34 replies. Last reply was April. I am taken to another similar topic, with the same (similar) title: support.proboards.com/thread/449802/scrolling-text?q=scrolling1 page, and 3 replies. Last post in March. Doesn't matter if I click the title, page 1, page 2 or page 3, it opens the smaller, older topic up This is the link I get for the one with 3 pages: support.proboards.com/thread/449802/scrolling-text?q=scrolling&page=3Opera (latest). I also Have tested it multiple times, and it does it each time.

Ohhh this is a fascinating one! If you remove the q=scrolling from the end of your first link, you get to the full thread! It seems to have parsed down the responses in the thread to the responses that have the word scrolling IN the post. I don't think this is the intended effect.
However, I would just like to state that it IS the same topic/thread, just with a limited number of replies...very interesting.
I've obviously made a bug report for this, and made it a priority fix.

I have been informed that this is the intended effect. It's a new feature that we're testing out where you only see the posts that are relevant to your search within your selected topic. I have a few issues with how this functions myself (including a lack of way to easily see the whole thread).

If I am using the quick search especially, I am looking for a topic. If I then want specific posts i can use the in-thread search. A lot of things can be missed from it only showing specific posts. Posts that could otherwise help

Yeah, I'm not the most fond of this myself. I'll bring up my cons with this system in our meeting.

Much to my joy, this has been removed as of today. Searching works as it did before.

I'd recommend splitting this off, but you can quote me in your new thread: I'm not seeing the issue at the thread you linked to.

Michael, RedBassett. I was just creating an official bug report topic, but I don't think this is happening now. I have checked both links I provided above, and no where has a loss of information. Even this topic, you had the info lost/missing Michael, yet now it shows "Posts: 1,910 [male icon]". If it comes up again, I will definitely report the bug.

This was fixed this morning by Tim, and will get pushed live the next time we do a push, so even if it does happen again, don't worry, it'll be fixed shortly.
