The @ tag not working as it should

2) What happened, in detail?
I was replying in visual mode and tried to tag the member. We have a member called spanner ( mot-testers.proboards.com/user/127 ) and a member called spanners ( mot-testers.proboards.com/user/171 ). Using the button only the first member name was an option. In both visual and BBCode mode typing both user names in full link to the right accounts.

3) What do you think should have happened instead?
Both members should have appeared in the drop down list.

4) Can you reproduce this on every pageview?
When using the tag button for these members yes.

5) What browser, version, and operating system are you using?
FF 20.0  Win7 64 bit

6) Please attach a screen shot (JPG or PNG -- not GIF or BMP) if it is relevant

Have the member who did not appear change his display name to something else, and then change it back to his original name. This triggers a re-index of all the usernames and should solve your problem.

If the re-index happens immediately it didn't work. I'll try it again later before you lot get in and update.

4 hours later and still only showing the one member in the drop down list. Could it be because the names are so similar, the second one just having the extra 's' on the end?

Hmm, I'm not sure about this yet (I'll still have to check) but it's possible that spanners is a "Stop-Word". Stop-Words are specific words that search is not calibrated to find, because it assumes all instances of the word are related to its own function, and not an actual searchable term. I'll confirm that this is the case and get back to you.

We have determined that there is an index issue that this user got caught in. I've made a ticket for this to be corrected.
