Continually Being Logged Off

I am at my wits end with one of my Administrators problems. He seems to be signed in, then goes to post and then is told to sign in again. This is happening to him on an irregular basis in Firefox. It can also happen to him when he is switching from one page to another, also on an irregular basis. I have changed to Firefox to see if I can replicate it, but I can't. For a start I use Macs and he uses PCs. My hunch was that it is a cookie related problem, but why and what to do about it?

Can you ask the user to try enabling private browsing in Firefox to see if that makes a difference?

To enable private browsing, either press Ctrl+Shift+P or open the menu and select Tools > Start Private Browsing. This will temporarily remove any existing items in his cookies and cache for the current browser session.

Have him perform the same steps, then report back on whether or not he gets logged out upon doing them this time around.
