Skin Selection

I have seen a plugin request for this but would like to see this more as a feature.

I can make a note in our ideas list about this.

In the future we will review it. If we like the idea, then we will develop it further at that time. That means it could be a while before it's added. Keep an eye out for it in one of our updates after launch. Maybe your idea will show up!

That would be great, Ryan Roos. Any chance of adding the familiar "jump to" dropdown we had on v4 to that list?

I know some folks said they could add a second nav tree at the bottom of the page, but it didn't work for me. I screenshot the page to prove it was done correctly. It was about 50/50 on the thread. Some forums read that code. Others seemed to reject it.

The navigation tree completely replaces the Forum Jump. We will not be adding the forum jump back in. The navigation tree is the forum jump.

But the nav tree doesn't float, so some folks complain they have to go back to the top of the page to navigate away from the thread ~ even with a "back to top" arrow plug-in.


I'm ok with it ~ but many of the forum members aren't.

Already put in a request a few weeks ago. Since we were discussing dropdowns, I thought I would ask. 

My members will just have to learn to live without.

Thank you, Jessecast.  Did that, too. That's where they came up with second nav tree at the bottom that didn't work.

I'd love a forum theme drop-down menu at the bottom of the page. It's really convenient on the other sites I've used with it.

If it helps, for the mean time there is a Plugin called Theme Changer, by Texas. It adds a button to the PBN (bottom right where your switch account etc is), you click it, it takes you instantly to your profile and you select which theme to use.

Yeah, I have that one, but what I really want is a drop-down menu on the global footer, with all the themes right there. The theme changer plugin isn't quite it.

I have always thought a drop down link off the home page would be super sweet! I dislike even saying this name, but Invision .. don't they something like this .. where it's at the bottom of the page where you can literally change themes on the fly? Proboards could do this easily, right?
