New Problem:  After making the avatar bigger the P M'S are over on top of the avatar.

Slowly getting all my problems fixed thanks to all your help. 

Also is there a way to widen the News Fader

Hi, dano.

Add this to the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet to fix the table issue in conversations.

.messages .item > td > table { table-layout: auto; }

The news feed will always be as wide as your forum. Is there a reason in particular it needs to be wider?

Adding this to the top of Structure > Headers & Footers > Main Header should make your news feed larger.
