Until yesterday I have been logging in to proboards fora without too much trouble. It seems that something has changed and I am now getting confused and frustrated. I login to a forum. (I am asked for my name and password and login with no problem) I then try to login to another forum (which uses a different email address) and the confusion begins. I just want a login page but I get this: Then this: Next I get this: Then I have to click "forgot your password" (even though I know it) If it didn't recognise my username as valid? How come it sends the recover password link to the right email address?? Then just another couple more steps and I'm logged in. I then try to login to proboards support and have to go through the same steps again. I just want to be able to go to a proboards forum, enter my name and password and log in. Is there a way that this could be made possible please? (I do not want to use the same email address and password for all my accounts)

It's crazy, if it wasn't for 3 years work I'd pack it all up.

Greetings,
Are you seeing the above images on the "other" email? Are you still logged into the global account for this email here on support?

Thank you for the quick reply RedBassettI can login to the first forum I visit with no problem. (it gives me the login page where I just put in my username and password) If I then try to login to any other proboards forum I am not given a login page and have to go through the above sequence again.

The ones you can access, do these forums share the same email as here on support? (IE are they on the same global account?)
If so, are the ones you cannot log into the ones with a different email address?

For access to a forum on the same email I can click the switch forum icon. If I open a new tab and try to login to another forum (with a different email) I have to go through all the steps til I reset my password.

What if you log out of this global account, and then try logging into the other one?

I logged out of all fora and when I log back in to here it shows me the correct login page and lets me in. However, If i try to login to a different forum (with a different email) it makes me go through all the steps again (it doesn't show the login page unless I log out of here) (but I would like to stay logged in if possible like I used to do)

Due to how global accounts work, I think you will need to link all the accounts to the same global to do this. If you want to do this, log into the "other" email accounts, and unlink them by clicking the gear icon in the lower right, and selecting the unlink option. Then you cna log back in here, and re-link the accounts to your current global account.

The fora have different email addresses for a reason. I have a personal email address (for such as this forum) Others have their own address depending on what the forum is for? If I ran let's say a Bassett hound forum I would set it up with it's own email address "bassetthound@blahblah.com" (or some such) I would not use that as my personal email nor would I want to use my personal email address for that. I am a big fan of v5 but this is very frustrating.

I can fully appreciate the use of different emails, especially since they are now admin viewable again (or will be shortly).
Unfortunately, I believe this is how the global account system is set up to operate. I'll have to leave this for a ProBoards staff member to advise further.

(but I would like to stay logged in if possible like I used to do) If you're maintaining several global accounts, it won't be possible to be logged into forum accounts across them without opening a Private Browsing window (I see you're using Firefox). You use your email address to register a global account, and then that one global account will allow you to register as many individual forum accounts across forums as you want, which you can be logged into. If you have several global accounts (the ones you log in to with your email addresses) and attempt to log in to any more than one at a single time without doing so in a Private Browsing window, wonky stuff will start to happen and you'll get errors, because which global account you're using is saved in your browser's data files, of which Private Browsing prohibits the use or saving. Once you're logged into your global account (as pictured in your first screenshot) if you have accounts registered on the forum you logged into, it should display them. If not, it'll prompt you to make an account (also pictured in your first screenshot). If you follow that link, it'll ask you to pick a username which will, after a few more steps, become an account linked to your currently active global account.
