Thank you David ClarkAt the moment I have a forum on firefox, another on firefox (private browsing) and another on chrome. It isn't anywhere near as easy as it used to be when I could just open a new tab and login.

dno, do note that with this solution only 2 global accounts can be logged in per browser, as the no-cookies no-cache modes (Private Browsing for Firefox, Incognito for Chrome, inPrivate for IE, etc) share cookies across Private Browsing windows and tabs. The issue here however comes from your need to have several global accounts, when it is possible to be logged into an unlimited amount of forum accounts (albeit as the number gets high, it's possible to encounter errors) on just one global account. Is there any important, nonnegotiable reason that you need multiple global accounts?

Firstly, I have for a long time thought that it is more secure if I use different email addresses for different things (and change the passwords regularly) (I have never used the same password for different accounts) so what i once thought to be more secure seems no longer to be the case. Secondly. If let's say a club of some sort has an email address which is appropriate to that club, then more than one admin may have access to that email address in order to handle correspondence on behalf of the club. I'll just have to get used to using browsers instead of tabs and have a rethink about using the same password for different accounts.

If let's say a club of some sort has an email address which is appropriate to that club, then more than one admin may have access to that email address in order to handle correspondence on behalf of the club. This is a scenario we went over when we added in the capability of making members administrators alongside the main admin account. If you wanted to appear as one entity, as you said, on behalf of the club, then indeed you would need to share a global account. However, because the need for this feature represents a very limited minority (most are satisfied with representing the forum administration on their own account, after being provided admin permissions) I can't say I expect that changes will be made to facilitate this anytime soon. Additionally, the terms of service prohibits the use of other users' accounts, and when you're talking about sharing passwords and email addresses it sort of creates a grey area as far as who, precisely, owns the account - this can also potentially lead to bigger problems if there happens to be a dispute between two users with access to these. I'm sorry I can't provide a better solution than to log in across Private browsing windows and browsers. Let me know if you have any more trouble logging in.

Haha. Clever sir, but technically we're dealing with an issue that's separate and different of v4, as global accounts and logging in with your email address as a credential are both brand spankin' new features. You can still reach the final solution, the process is just updated and different. You made me chuckle though.
