So recently I have been noticing that randomly a member may end up getting +2 post count for making a post rather than the normal and default of +1 post count for making a post. It has not happened on any of my accounts on v5, but I have noticed it happening on others. Also I checked to see if perhaps they made a post and deleted or something, but they did not. I don't know if it's due to some glitch due to having multiple tabs open or what, I haven't been able to test it since I don't know why its happening or when.
This may or may not be a cross browser problem. The only data I can offer is that I use Fire Fox and none of my accounts have problems with post count...however the three or more accounts that have had problems, the users all use Google Chrome.

Is there a re-creatable instance of this happening? If you can get this to happen each time the user posts, then I can create a bug for it.

I got on google chrome and tested it myself. I figured it out somewhat...when you type up a post and then click "Create Post" it will create multiple posts and thus post counts in rapid succession. So if you rapidly click or just click "Create Post" more than once before the page loads...then it will create duplicates. So those whom are impatient or may have slow computers may end up clicking "create post" multiple times which will result in duplicating posts and of course duplicating the post count...so the members were deleting this duplicates.
However it still does not account for some posts...so I don't know what's going on really. So I can't really duplicate it since I have no clue what is going on...I'm not getting the results others are getting. One member did say he accidentally duplicated one post and deleted it, but even so his post count was still off by 4 and that should not be just for deleting 1 post. It's happened with a couple others too where their post count is just a few off and I ask them if they deleted any posts and usually its like 1 or two duplicates but it does not account for everything.
So I wonder if the "create post" button is adding to the post count at some points without actually creating the post when it is clicked more than once?
I mean I guess it's not a "huge" problem but it just kind of irritates me that I don't know why this is happening.

I'm afraid if the bug isn't re-creatable then I can't make a bug report for it. I'll mention that mashing the create post button in quick succession has caused some people to double post in our support meeting.
