Preview = visual?

When I used to post a link (or send one as a pm) on v4 I would always hit "preview" before posting/sending (to make sure the link I was about to post worked)
This doesn't seem to work in "visual" 
How do I make it do that please?

Hi, dno.

Switching to BBCode, then back to Visual will show you exactly how your post will look once it's submitted to the forum, exactly as the preview would. The only difference is you can now edit the "preview" live via the Visual post editor.

I tried that before posting the question and couldn't get it to work.
I'll give it another go.

You can not click the link in visual mode but if you used the link button there should be no problems and if there was you can go back and fix it via edit

Thank you Jessecast I just gave that a try and the link shows in visual as a link but it isn't clickable?
(so I cannot check that the link works before I hit post/send)

If you click your middle mouse button on a link in the Visual editor, it should open in a new tab.
