Good evening, While trying to send out an email to all of my forum members tonight, I received a message stating that I had to wait 10 hours. I did not have this problem before I updated and was wondering if there is a way I can stop this from happening. By using Proboards, I rely heavily on having the ability to mass email my staff of important updates and often am not able to wait hours in between sending emails. Using the PM feature does not work for us because I need my employees to be able to pull up messages on their smart phones. Please help.

The timer preventing you from sending out more emails is there to prevent spamming. If you hit the limit than you have exceeded what we allow in an allotted time frame. This will not be changing as it directly affects our servers as well. Sorry. Your forum is not an email service. If you need to send emails to people in a more timely fashion then you should be using an email provider to do so. The Email Members feature is for contacting your forum members with updates relevant to the forum itself. Like if there was an event coming up or you had an announcement you needed everyone to know about with something related to the forum itself. It is not for constant use for contacting people. If you are having a problem waiting 10 hours between emails then you are using the feature more than we allow (in v4 and v5. You just weren't told of the delay in v4). Please try switching to an email provider for the constant contacting that you desire. Edit: Additionally, when you send out mass emails constantly it gets you blacklisted as spam. That isn't ProBoards, that is how other email providers will treat your emails if you are sending them constantly en masse. If you are going to use ProBoards, try consolidating the updates to your members into one larger email instead of several smaller ones.
