Regimental Badge

I have been looking through the Q&A and have not found anything as regards still being able to retain our regimental Badge in our forum, will there be anywhere in Admin on the v5 where it will be possible to add it after the changeover.

Hi,
Yes I believe it was, I have noticed another of the Regimental forums which goes under the name of The Senior Cavalry Gentlemens Club has got the emblem that they used on the v4 version changed on to there new v5 Version but the other Regimental site by the name of The Eagle105 has not had there Emblem added, this is why I ask because I will be changing over my site possibly this week-end and was hoping that I will have our site with the Regimental Badge added at the top of the home page. Can you say that will be possible or is there another way to add it after the changeover.

I'm still unclear on what this badge is. Can you link to an example?

As RedBasset posted above, can you tell us where the badge is displayed ?
If as i suspect it is at the top of the forum, in V5 you can have it as the logo so it displays across all themes, and an individual banner for each theme
For example on this forum, the logo is the text image with 'pb Proboards support', and the banner is the blue background

This is the URL to the Regimental badge that we have on the v4 version, it is situated above the home, new, help, search, members, calendar, admin, profile, logout, Banner, I hope that this helps you to identify what I mean.

Patrick [ASE]'s guess was correct!

Admin Panel > Themes > Theme Manager > (Hover over theme in question) > Settings > Images > Add the image in the "logo" box. Then go back to the "Settings" tab, And set the "Forum Title" mode as appropriate.

Many thanks for your help with regards to the above, one other thing that you can help with and that is when I change to the v5 do I have to delete the Beta-zone first.

No, you can keep the betazone for further testing for several months, it will be removed by Proboards at some time in the future
