OK. I have a REALLY dumb question about tags....

I've been hanging out here pretty much for weeks... posting and reading what all is here.

I've noticed how in many posts people are replying to another without using the "Quote" box. The person they are talking to have their names typed out in red. I think someone said this means they have been tagged. How do you do this? I've typed out many people's names and it looks the normal black. So... if anyone could help out this green person know how to do what I would guess everyone pretty much knows... it would be very appreciated.

Some people may be just typing the name in, and making it a link to someone's profile, however a proper tag is done by using the @ symbol and then a username (like Twitter). To tag you, I would type @skidjit, and it would look like this: Skidjit.

Rather than typing out usernames, you can quickly add tags by using the tag button () in the post editor, or ALT-Clicking a user's name.
