If I opt-out of v5 until December, can I still convert my forum whenever I want before that date?

Yes. Simply opt back in or convert on that same page when you're ready.  |

Click on the upgrade link at the top of your admin area. On the bottom of the next page, you'll see a button that allows you to opt out until December 31st. |

Does it have to be the admin of the forum (the person that created it) that does the opt out until December and creates the beta zone?
Also, I'm disappointed that there isn't an option to stay with Version 4 indefinitely - it's what our members are used to and I'd hate to see the winning formula broken.

Correct, the opt-out and early upgrade can only be accessed by the main admin account of the forum.
(but if your forum admin has fallen inactive, we can manually opt out for you on request of another forum staff member)
