Changing Forum Account Emails

How does one change the email on a forum account? My preferred email is on my global, but an email I was using to test something is currently locked in on my forum account. Clicking edit on my forum account just takes me to the global account, which is already correct.

You tried logging out of your global ?
or use a different browser for the other account.
I managed to force login on a different email i use on the same browser, just by changing the email, and am able to be logged into both accounts on the same browser.

No luck

You should see a redbassett.com temporary email on my profile, but I log in with a gmail email, which is currently what is displayed on my global account page. I want to change this profile to display that, but the "edit" button takes me to the global page (which mentioned above, already has the correct email).

If you go to 'switch account' from the bottom gear, you have the option to link accounts, as long as you know the creds, you should be able to login i think

This account is already linked to the global account I want. Unlinking doesn't help, since I have to link to a global before I can change the email.

RedBassett, I believe the email displayed in your profile is always supposed to reflect the email address of your global account? If you have an instance of two forum accounts under the same global account as showing different emails, this is a bug. Can you provide screenshots, by chance?

I see, RedBassett, thank you. Would it be possible to have you change your global account email and see if that corrects the inconsistencies? I'm going to be passing this on to our system admins to look at.

It would appear that fixed this specific issue

I believe the accounts had different emails associated when they were linked, which seem to have been mistakenly kept with the account.

To change a forum account email, when going to log in simply press you forgot your password. Send to change your password, once you received the email click the link provided. Type in the account name and then press the button to continue. Another screen should come up with the email and to make a new password. Simply click "Change email" and then you type in your email and your global account password to change it. Change your password and then click the button to continue. There you go, you're all set.

Mr. Tyler Getz, I think you'll find an easier way to do so is to click on the little gear icon in the bottom right corner of your screen and, on this screen, click the "Edit" link next to your email address.

Thanks for checking in on that, RedBassett - I've indeed passed the information on to our system admin who is now aware of this case.
