Admin CP Less Image Based

Something I really liked about the original proboards was how..simple the whole Admin-ing process was; I don't mind the whole shift of it in V5 except for the images. For me they really slow down my computer's loading time, and its not nearly as clean as the old text-only navigation was; I'd really like to see it come back in the near future.

You can click on those tabs that say Legendary, etc, and it will only have links, and not images.

From what I'm understanding, this new v5 will make loading times a whole lot faster when all is done. This is one of the things I'm most excited about.

The admin area actually loads faster in v5 than it did in v4 even with the images. And in many cases you load a page only once instead of over and over and over like you did in v4 (the best example of this is Boards and Categories, one page in v5 load vs dozens in v4).

If you aren't used to the layout then try the Legacy map until you get used to it. Be aware that the Legacy map will not show you all the options. It just takes you to the v5 equivalent of v4's menu. As soon as you can you should stop using it or you;re going to miss out.

If you want to avoid loading images then avoid clicking to the intermediate menus. Just use the drop down in the upper right and go straight to where you want to go.
