I was thinking that there should be a way for people to buy their own ad-free for their global account and control what forums they want it to turn on in. This would allow members who really are bothered by the ads a way to turn them off for only them, while not stealing and violating the TOS.

Ok just went to my profile, and the "gift" tab has vanished. It SHOULD be done like so: Profile > Gift Tab > Purchase ProBoards+ |

This already exists. It's called ProBoards+
Go to your profile. If the gift tab isn't displaying (because we're working on a feature that toggles it on and off) you can still access it by typing /gift after your profile URL.
