Vanishing Boards

I've had these reports from board members:

"Doug, I don't know if this is happening to other people or not. It didn't happen to me before today.
I can get to many of the threads OK, but some (like the photographs thread) I click on them, and it takes me to a screen that doesn't show any of the thread. Just one line that says it is the photo thread. I've tried cancelling out and going back in several times with the same result."

"Same here. If I click on the "In General" section and a few of the others, and I can see the subject threads for about one second, then they all vanish. I'm using Internet Explorer 8 (Probably the problem right there).

Not all sections are doing this vanishing thing."

Everything works fine on Safari and Firefox on my computer, so I don't know what to tell them. Any ideas what's going on?

Same thing here. Many members are reporting issues where the threads for a board (Hawk Forum hawkhoopclub.proboards.com/board/4/hawk-forum) appear momentarily and then disappear. Most other boards are accessible, but a few others have the same issue. I have been able to replicate this issue with IE8. Seems most IE* users are on WinXP, however, my test was on Win7x64. IE9/10, Chrome, and Firefox all appear to be working. I note IE8 adds a hash tag # to the URL that does not appear in other browsers.

Hi,

There is a known issue in IE where the thread doesn't load and goes into eternal loading limbo. This is being worked on and should be pushed a little later.

Can you confirm the web browser they're using?

IE8 seems to be the primary culprit in Hawk land.

IE7 and IE8 are confirmed to potentially have this issue. You may want to suggest your users utilize an alternate browser until the problem is remedied.
